VVV-Venlo has added a new member to their team with the signing of 26-year-old center forward Konstantinos Doumtsios.
The Greek striker joins the club on a free transfer from league competitor TOP Oss and has signed a contract until 2026.
Throughout his career, Doumtsios has played over 150 official matches in the first and second Greek leagues before making the move to the Netherlands last summer with TOP Oss. “I am grateful for the trust VVV has placed in me and will do everything I can to repay it. Venlo is a great club, especially well-known in Greece thanks to Georgios Giakoumakis. I am very proud to be able to play for VVV and to wear the black and yellow jersey just like Giakoumakis,” said Venlo’s new signing. VVV head coach John Lammers is pleased with the new addition to the attack: “Last season, Konstantinos didn’t play much due to various circumstances, but VVV has long known that he is an interesting striker. His goal-scoring record is good, and we are convinced that he has a lot of potential. Konstantinos is determined to prove himself here, and we are glad he chose VVV.”
